The "Central Calcutta Science & Culture Organisation for Youth" is a reputed social, voluntary, philanthropic and Science & Culture- based activity-oriented, registered organization. It is carrying, on untiring efforts to promote interest in Science & Culture among the youths since our birth in 1996. The organization regularly arranges for seminars, workshops, trainings on self-development, lectures, debates, exhibitions and distribution of text books & scholarship to needy meritorious students and to lend a helping hand to poor, aged, sick and helpless etc. as a part of its dedicated services to the greater community.
Apart from these we also aim to promote schemes on rural development, pisciculture, animal husbandry, biological waste treatment. We had held mobile arsenic testing camps in arsenic prone areas of West Bengal and organized seminars on arsenic awareness. We had also offered training on 'Computer' in cooperation with 'Ministry of Information and Technology', Govt. of India for self-development to the students & youths.
We also arrange for yearly state level competitions on Science Model, Quiz, Recitation, Sit and Draw, Creative Dance and One Act Drama. Since our inception, every year we have had workshops on Recitation, Shrutinatak, Bengali Song, Creative Dance, Classical Dance, Art and Jute Craft., News Reading, Journalism, Anchoring etc. Every year we arrange Culture Utsav at different places of West Bengal and publish Audio & Video CD on various cultural subjects.
